Welcome! This week I’m curled up on a sofa because it’s raining outside so the quality of sound will be much better compared to the previous episodes.
Voice note #3 topic is psychological stages of mental development informed by Robert Kegan and Joscha Bach. I’m insanely interested in the mind, psychology, meditation and consciousness and this was my attempt at converging them all.
I briefly discuss each of these stages and comment on why most people (85% according to Kegan) get stuck at stage 3.
The seven stages:
Reactive survival (infant).
Personal self (young child).
Social self (adolescence, domesticated adult).
Rational agency (self-direction).
Self-authoring (full adult).
Non-dual awareness (enlightenment),
Transcendence.
As I said towards the end, I could make an episode on each of these stages as they can be explored through many different lenses (psychological, emotional, mental, spiritual etc).
